CROATIA

- CROATIA declared its independence in 1991, followed by more than four years of terrible war against Serbia. The scars of the war were visible during my visit to the country only ten years later, with the fronts of houses destroyed by bullets, churches burned and the conversations I was able to have with its people.

However, this country bathed by the Adriatic coast emerged from its past and with its more than a thousand islands, it is considered a place for tradition, magical spots and dream places like the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik.

Its geography also includes the remains of the Roman Empire, such as the Pula Amphitheatre and the Plitvice Lakes, which have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. -
